“Pois! Pois!”
“Heave! Heave!”
Pobi and the children were enthusiastically playing tug-of-war while shouting commands.
At first, the rope was being pulled entirely toward Pobi’s side, but once Nene, Kuku, and Chacha joined in, the balance of power shifted to the other side.
And then.
“Kids, hang in there! The rope’s coming our way!”
“Nice!”
“Dinner is cooking!”
Sliiide.
Pobi began to get pulled little by little toward the kids.
This can’t be happening!
How could I, the great purple dragon, lose?!
Pobi’s pride was deeply wounded.
“Pois! Strength, pois! Power up, pois! Entangle...”
So in between his commands, he diligently used magic to boost his strength and anchor his legs.
Thanks to that, the rate at which he was being pulled slowed significantly, but
Sliiiide.
He was still being dragged nonetheless.
“Ugh!”
Pobi gave it his all to avoid being dragged away.
“Heave! Heave! Heave!”
“Heave! Heave! Heave!”
The children also did their best to win.
“Kids, time for dinner!”
The tug-of-war continued until Sejun called out.
Once dinner was ready,
“Stop.”
Aileen brought the tug-of-war to an end.
The result of the fierce competition: a draw. It was thanks to Pobi pulling the rope a lot in the beginning. If not for that, he would’ve lost.
“Wow. We can eat now!”
“Teecher-nim, hurry and give us food!”
“Sotteok, that’s not how you say it! You have to say ‘please give it to me!’”
“Please give it to me!”
After confirming the result, the children excitedly ran to the kitchen.
“Aileen, who are those kids?”
Watching them, Pobi asked Aileen in a slightly dazed voice.
There was no way someone who fought him to a standstill could be ordinary. No, he hoped they weren’t. Otherwise, it would be too embarrassing.
“Huh? Pobi oppa, you came here without even knowing what this place is?”
“Yeah. I just heard we were going to Earth. I thought we were going to hang out.”
At Aileen’s question, Pobi replied with an innocent expression.
“Sigh. Pobi oppa, listen carefully. This place is called Kindergarten of Destruction...”
Since she had heard from Sejun why Pobi came here, Aileen explained everything to him in detail.
And then.
“Really?! You and Sejun are training the next Creator Gods?!”
“Yup. You’ll help too, right?”
“Of course! There’s no way the great purple dragon, Pobi Peten, would miss out on such an honorable task!”
Having heard what the Kindergarten of Destruction was, Pobi was moved that he could work here.
Of course!
I, the great purple dragon Pobi Peten, am not weak!
At the same time, his lingering frustration over the earlier tug-of-war vanished.
“Aileen, if there’s anything hard, leave it to me! I’ll take care of everything!”
“Okay. Thanks.”
And so, Pobi officially became a teacher at Kindergarten of Destruction.
“This is Teacher Pobi, who will be with us for a week starting today. Now, a round of applause!”
Before dinner, Sejun introduced Pobi.
“Nice to meet you!”
“”Wow-!””
Pobi received an enthusiastic welcome from the future Creator Gods.
And then.
“Wow, this is delicious!”
While hurriedly eating Sejun’s food.
“Teacher Pobi, please help the children with their meals.”
His first mission arrived.
“Mingming doesn’t like cucumber!”
“Shyongshyong hates carrots!”
“Chacha won’t eat onions!”
His task: getting picky children to eat their food.
“Huh? But I haven’t finished eating yet?”
At Sejun’s words, Pobi responded nonchalantly. He assumed Sejun thought he had already finished eating.
However.
“I haven’t eaten either.”
Sejun showed his untouched bowl as he replied.
“Uh... okay.”
Pobi put down his spoon and approached the children.
“Okay, little ones. Being picky is bad. You have to eat a balanced diet to grow tall and stay healthy.”
Pobi spoke to the children in the kindest voice he could muster, but
“Mingming said no cucumber!”
“Yeah! Shyongshyong won’t eat carrots!”
“Chacha said no onions!”
Children were not beings who responded kindly just because they were treated kindly. The children’s output was completely unpredictable.
On top of that.
“I saw Teacher Pobi earlier! He picked out the cucumber, carrot, and onion!”
“He even picked out the bell pepper?!”
“What?! He eats less than we do!”
He got caught being picky and was completely ignored by the children.
“This is... because it's so tasty, I was saving it to eat all at once later. Look. See? Teacher’s eating it.”
This is for world peace!
To set a good example for the children, Pobi hurriedly gathered the vegetables he had picked out earlier and showed himself eating them deliciously in one bite.
Uegh-!
Pobi screamed internally at the awful taste of the vegetables.
“Pohi... hihi... Teacher eats well, right? Nyam nyam. So tasty?”
On the outside, he forced himself to smile and chewed thoroughly, acting like it was delicious.
Picky eater Pobi, eating vegetables on his own?!
It would’ve been a shocking sight if Pobi’s parents or Tier had seen it.
But despite Pobi’s efforts.
“Teacher's face looks totally like he hates it!”
“Teacher is lying to us!”
“Yeah! Liar!”
The children instantly saw through Pobi’s lie.
Even though I ate this disgusting stuff for them, they still won’t eat it?!
“Just eat it already!”
Angered by the children's response, Pobi shouted.
"Don't like it!"
"Won't eat!"
"Don't want to!"
The children shouted back just as loudly.
"Eat!"
"Don't want to!"
As the fierce clash continued.
“Teacher Pobi, please come over here for a moment.”
Sejun had Aileen separate Pobi from the children.
Heh. Time to show the skills of a pro.
“Mingming, you really hate cucumber that much?”
“Yeah!”
“Then just chew it ten times, okay?”
“Okay!”
Unlike how she acted with Pobi a moment ago, Mingming nodded obediently at Sejun’s words. Sitting on Sejun’s lap, Theo was swinging his front paws in circles, warming up.
Turns out, half of Sejun’s parenting skills were backed by Theo’s force?
Hehehe. Kids, well done.
Heeheehee. Teacher, now we can have choco milk, right?
Actually, no truth is, the kids weren’t picky eaters at all. They were acting on Sejun’s instructions.
Well, they used to be picky, but thanks to Taecho and Blackie’s mental training, they’d already been cured a long time ago.
The reason Sejun had the children act like that was to give Pobi a hard time while he was here.
He brought him to be punished, so letting him rest comfortably would defeat the purpose.
And after being pestered like that by the children, maybe he’d realize what he did wrong to Tier. If not, well, nothing more could be done.
How could Mom and Grandpa never once get mad at me when I was so horrible to them?
And on top of that, they probably didn’t even eat properly because of me...
While fuming in anger, Pobi also began to recall the things he had done to his parents and grandfather.
Thankfully, it seemed like Sejun’s plan had worked well.
***
The next morning.
"Stretch. I slept well."
Sejun got up after helping the Blackie Family and Taecho with their apologies today as well.
“Meow...”
[Hehe...]
Kueng...
Kking...
“Hehe...”
After checking on the still-sleepy group, he headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
And then.
“Pohihihi. Sejun, you're up? I'm hungry. Hurry up and give me breakfast.”
Pobi, who was sprawled in the living room, said arrogantly toward Sejun. As if it was natural that Sejun should serve him food.
“Pobi oppa! Do you think my Sejun is your personal chef?!”
Of course, Pobi’s rudeness was immediately shut down by Aileen.
“Huh? No. I just...”
“If you act like that to Sejun again, I’m not playing with you anymore!”
Aileen threatened Pobi.
This was a hard-earned opportunity!
“Ah... okay. I won’t.”
For Pobi, who had never gotten a chance to be alone with the youngest Aileen because of other dragons like Garrick, Sylvia, and Hokus, Aileen’s threat worked like a charm.
For reference, Aileen had a higher mental age than Pobi.
The reason was that Aileen worked to keep up with Sejun, while the other young dragons made no effort to raise their mental age.
That way, she could receive more affection from the adults.
To be honest, Pobi was the normal one, and Aileen was the abnormal one.
Hehehe. As expected of my girlfriend.
Sejun smiled contentedly at Aileen’s reliability as she scolded Pobi.
“Oppa, don’t just sit there, clean.”
“Uh, okay.”
Aileen put Pobi to work and cleaned the kindergarten.
“Hmhmhm.”
Sejun hummed as he prepared breakfast.
A short while later.
“Kids, time to eat!”
Breakfast began.
“No cucumber!”
“Just try it once, okay?”
“Don’t like carrots!”
“Carrots are super tasty! Look at Teacher eating them. Yum yum.”
Once again, Pobi took charge of the picky eaters and tried to set an example by eating the vegetables they were picking out of their food.
Huh? After chewing it for a while, it’s actually tasty?
In the process, Pobi managed to overcome his dislike of carrots among the various vegetables.
Once breakfast was over.
“Now, Teacher Pobi will play with you.”
“What?!”
“”Yay-!””
Sejun left the kids to Pobi and said,
“Let’s finish practicing our play.”
He and the others continued rehearsing the performance of “The Devoted Tiger”, which they hadn’t finished last time.
“Ten years ago, during winter, Mother went searching for my brother, who had turned into a tiger, and never returned. After that, Father told me that if I ever saw a tiger with pink jelly paws while going to the mountains, that would be my brother, so I should bring him home.”
“Meow?! It’s true, meow! I have pink jelly on my paws, meow! Then I was really human?!”
At Taecho’s line, Theo checked his paws and acted surprised.
“Hm-meow. So that’s why I didn’t get along with the other tigers? Then it’s true that my memories from when I was human disappeared when I became Theo Tiger, meow!”
Theo delivered his monologue, expressing his process of being convinced by Taecho’s words.
“Roar-meow. Alright. How’s Father doing, meow?”
“No. After you disappeared, he fell ill from heartbreak and became very weak. Brother, let’s go see Father right now. He’ll be so happy!”
“No, meow! I’m in a tiger’s body now, so I can’t enter the village. You go first and tell Father I’m doing well, meow! Theo Brother will go see him in a few days, meow!”
“Okay! Then I’ll see you in a few days. (Phew. That was close.)”
As Taecho turned away in relief.
“Wait a moment, meow!”
Theo called out to her.
“Yes?! (No way, did he find out?)”
Taecho turned around with a flustered expression.
“Take the carrier with you, meow!”
Theo kindly handed over the carrier.
The play practice went smoothly.
Some time later.
It was almost dinner time.
“Save me....”
After playing with the kids for hours, Pobi staggered in with a face as purple as his hair, utterly drained and collapsed.
Playing nonstop games like hide-and-seek, tug-of-war, and more without rest, it was exhausting even for a great dragon.
“You worked hard. Is there anything you want to eat?”
Sejun asked Pobi.
“So...tteok-so...tteok....”
Pororong.
Pobi managed to answer with his last bit of strength and then fell asleep. He must have been truly exhausted.
“As far as I know, when you fall asleep like that, isn’t that immediately deep sleep mode?”
“It’s fine. As long as you wake him before three hours, it’s okay.”
Aileen, already awake from her own sleep mode, responded as if it was nothing.
And so Pobi got a brief nap.
“Kids, let’s eat. Aileen, wake up Pobi.”
“Okay. Pobi oppa, wake up!”
Smack.
Aileen smacked Pobi on the back.
“Mm...”
Barely opening his sleepy eyes.
Huh? That’s the smell of sotteok-sotteok!
The delicious aroma snapped Pobi awake.
And then.
“Wow. So good!”
Grabbing sotteok-sotteok in both hands, he eagerly began eating.
Eat up.
Tomorrow will be even harder. Hehehe.
Sejun grinned like a villain as he watched Pobi.
And so, Pobi’s second day at Kindergarten of Destruction came to an end.
